Man Kicks In Door To Snatch Garbage Bag
A property manager requested law enforcement assistance late last week when a man reportedly kicked in the door to one residence in order to snatch a garbage bag.
The manager told deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that a man had come to the Pine Tree Circle, Leoma residence around 6:15 p.m. He told the manager that he needed to pick up a bag from the residence where his cousin had lived.
The manager said the man was informed that the residence was locked and that they could not get into it. They then left, with the manager returning to his home.
Shortly afterwards, witnesses reported the man returned to the premises, kicked in the front door, grabbed a large, black garbage bag filled with unknown items, then sped away in his vehicle.
The manager estimated that the act caused around $500 worth of damage to the door of the home.
